X-mini is well known for their range of small portable speakers, and their new Kai adds Bluetooth capability into the mix. With a 40mm driver and measuring in at 50.00mm X 62.0mm and 95.2g when closed, the speaker is small enough to hold in the palm of your hand. It’s easy to cart around, and you can connect it to any Bluetooth-enabled device. There’s the capability to control tracks and volume wirelessly from the Kai, and a built-in microphone allows you to use it for conference calls. The built-in USB rechargeable battery is rated for up to 8 hours playback. There’s also a wired connection for non-Bluetooth devices. Like other X-mini products, you can daisy chain (Buddy Jack) other X-minis to it to boost your sound or use the Buddy Jack port to wirelessly connect to your home sound system. Sounds like a handy device to throw into your gadget bag.
