This year, you won’t have to wait to find A Charlie Brown Christmas on television – you can have it as an interactive pop-up book on your Android or iOS phone or tablet. Loud Crow Interactive has created an interactive version of this Christmas classic that’s complete with scenes and dialog from the original program and narration by Peter Robbins, the voice of the original Charlie Brown . You’ll be able to fingerpaint or go caroling with the Peanuts gang, play piano with Schroeder, and even participate in the Spectacular Super-Colossal Neighborhood Christmas Lights and Display Contest to unlock decorations for your on-screen Charlie Brown Christmas tree. The app is $6.99 in the iTunes app store, the Android Market, and the Amazon appstore for Android.

Charlie Brown cartoons always depressed me… My holiday fave is The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.
The dogs were always my favorites in both The Grinch and Charlie Brown specials. I especially love the Grinch’s dog, Max, and the look on his face when he sees the cliff he has to pull the loaded sleigh up after they stole all the presents.
Sorry, when I was a kid (when the Peanut specials were first produced…yeah, I’m THAT old), they were good, but, when TBS started showing “A Christmas Story” 24/7 on Christmas Eve…it became my favorite Christmas movie to watch. You’ll shoot your eye out!
