Recently Julie reviewed – and loved – the ZAGGmate Bluetooth keyboard and case for the iPad. ZAGG has announced that you can now pre-order the ZAGGmate for iPad 2. It’s $99.99, and ZAGG says it will ship no later than March 31, 2011. (ZAGGmate for iPad is shown in this picture.)

I’m a little confused now, can someone please explain again why we all just dumped our netbooks to buy iPads?!?
1) Because the experience of using underpowered hardware (Atom) to run a bloated operating system (Windows) is much, much worse than using a hardware/OS combo designed from the ground up to support a fluid, touch-based UI.
2) Because even netbooks have nothing on the iPad 2 when it comes to size, weight, and battery life.
@MJ
You missed the point, we dumped our netbook to buy iPad in order to be able to use such a clever contraption transforming an iPad into a netbook
Battery life, battery life, battery life!
Then comes the GUI. The keyboard is just icing on the case.
I’ve heard this argument a hundred times when it comes to the ZAGGmate, but what everyone is forgetting is that netbooks can only be netbooks and ZAGGmate doesn’t permanently change the iPad.
Netbooks are kind of like onesie powder suits, where the iPad + Zagg is more like a ski jacket and pants.
