How’d you like to take a quick math quiz to know what time it is? The Math Clock app for Apple devices displays time as mathematical expressions so you get a quick mental-math exercise every time you glance at the clock. There are three levels of difficulty: “easy” which uses two terms for the hours and minutes; “medium” which uses three terms and throws in square roots and polynomials; and “advanced” which uses more complex expressions. The time is displayed in a retro “flip card” format, and you can customize the background picture in the iPad version. If you are stumped, you can touch the display to see a quick answer. This seems to be a clock only – no alarms. The Math Clock app is $1.99 in iTunes.
