Barnes and Noble Drop Price on Original nook and Introduce New Wi-Fi nook

Barnes and Noble have dropped the price on their original nook with Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity.  The price dropped from $259 to $199.  This seems to be the new selling point, and not a short-time sale price.  They have also introduced the new Wi-Fi nook, for people who can’t use or don’t want to pay for the 3G option.  The new Wi-Fi nook is $149.00.  The Wi-Fi nook only loses the 3G connectivity and 0.5 ounces – it retains all the other features and functions of the original nook.  Learn more at the B&N nook page.
