Hands-Free Mount for the Car

The Hands-Free Mount from Solutions lets you mount your electronics in your car without sticking them on the windshield or setting them on the dash.  The mount fits into the slot for the CD player, but it doesn’t interfere with playing your CDs.  The device holder is adjustable to hold most things from phones and mp3 players to GPS units.  The Hands-Free Mount is $19.95 and will be available for shipment on 6/25.

That’s a surprisingly original solution to the problem… nice find, Janet! I wonder how you can still play CDs while this device is inserted in the slot?

It does not interfere with CDs already in the slot, but it must be lifted or shifted in order to eject or change CDs. Not a problem so much if, like me you, you leave 6 CDs loaded in your player and rarely use the CD player any more (in preference to an MP3 player jack).

but it “does” block all the AC buttons behind the GPS.

I think that interference would depend on the car. It does cover the AC buttons for the car in the example, but it wouldn’t cover anything in my car because the CD player is at the top of the stack of controls in the middle of my dash.

I think Mystech is right – you’d have to move it to change CDs.

There are other A/C vent holders too. As a traveling medical professional, I found them to be equally worthwhile.
