CarCheckup is an automotive information system that can be used to monitor driver performance as well as tell you in plain English why your check engine light is on. While plugged in to the OBDII port, it records telemetry like speed, RPM, hard braking, hard acceleration, miles traveled, average speed and more. To read the recorded info, you just plug it into the USB port of your computer, login to the CarCheckup website and upload the data. The device costs $149.97, which includes a one year subscription to the CarCheckup website for one vehicle. Additional vehicles can be added for $25/yr.
