hdtv receiver for computersYou can receive and record local HDTV broadcasts on your PC using the USB digital tuner from Hammacher Schlemmer.  It comes with an antenna, and the ATSC tuner (the same as the ones used in full-sized HD televisions) supports up to 1920 X 1080 resolution.    You can also receive and record FM stations.  The included software allows you to schedule and record programming, and it works with PCs running Windows XP SP2, Vista, and Windows 7 (32-bit versions only).  The HDTV receiver is $79.95.

  2. I was like great I am going to buy one. Its annoying having a tv and Computer LCD in my room, considering the LCD is just as big, I am going to throw the space wasting tv in the bin.

    Who really needs a TV and LCD in the same room after all?
    Then I realised it said 32 bit versions only……
