It is now my lifelong quest (which started last year) to find and report about every wall outlet organizer product in the world. I found another one today – yay me! It’s the Driinn Cell Phone Charging Ledge. This one isn’t nearly as elegant as some of the others I’ve told you about, but since it fits the criteria of my quest, I must post about it. The Driinn (I have no idea what that even means) hangs between an AC adapter and the outlet and provides a small shelf to hold the charging device. Excess cord can be coiled around the bend in the holder to keep it from dangling. You can buy one for $12.95 from Convenient Gadgets & Gifts.

I actually like this one. If it folded up when not in use it would be perfect (obviously it would only be able to unfold to a the pictured ~80-degree angle).
Truth be told I’ve yet to need something like this since there’s always a counter or floor available by the outlets I’ve used. 🙂
This design is terrible. I bought this at a local bookstore and it’s completely worthless for using with any wall adapter because of the ring shape. The ring keeps the adapter from seating properly in the outlet, or forces you to put it in at an angle, and with any typical smartphone on the ‘shelf’, gravity will cause the whole thing to end up on the floor, leaving your phone dead just when you need it.
It took a little bing-ing around the web, but I found a reference to the name:
Designed in Holland, Driinn is named after the sound that the Dutch think a phone makes when it rings.
@Sandee Nice! Thanks for looking that up for us 😀
Wow, $13 is alot of dough for a single piece of plastic. Does anyone actually buy these ?
Julie, remind us which one of these things you like the best.
@Steve I hesitate to say which one I like best just by looks. I’ve not actually used any of things products first hand.
@chriszzz
I bought one on Amazon for ~$7. Since I have a Prime membership, I got 2 day shipping for free as well.
