I usually don’t post too many news items or press release type posts in my Gear Diary, but I’ve received quite a few noteworthy items this past week that I thought you all might benefit from reading. So here we go!

Speck Products is having a Speck-tacular Spring Sale. They are selling cases at for under $10 (50-70% savings) while supplies last. Prices will remain until they sell-through the product… There are some pretty great deals for iPods, etc.

RhinoSkin products are now available on a Web site called The site features free shipping on all products, and most of the cases are being sold at 25-40% of MSRP.

Palm launched a company blog where they will be talking about all kinds of things including product news and updates, cool new applications, employee perspectives, and other stuff too.

Palm also sent news of a new application that is available to Palm OS Treo smartphone users called Palm Backup Beta. It allows you to save a copy of your data to secure server via OTA. Data that can be backed up and restored includes: Contacts, Calendar, Memos, Tasks, Bookmarks, Speed dials, Call log
