We recently told you about G-Project’s portable, waterproof Bluetooth speaker, the G-Go (see related posts). Now, G-Project is announcing the G-Grip, their new ruggedized, portable Bluetooth speaker. The G-Grip has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery than provides you with up to 8 hours of music between charges. (Charge with a USB port on your computer or with the included charger.) Use it with any Bluetooth-enabled phone, MP3 player, or tablet, or connect a non-Bluetooth to the G-Grip via the 3.5mm audio jack. On-board buttons let you control playback and volume, and it comes with a buckled strap to carry it or clip it to a bag. The G-Grip is rugged and built to last. It’s survived drops of 8 feet and withstood crushing loads of “over 1,300 pounds of weight, all while pumping out loud, clean audio streaming wirelessly”, so it should stand up to your travels – or your kids. The G-Grip speaker is available at Target stores and Target.com for $69.99.

The other 4 & 5 star reviews are spot on! This is THE BEST bluetooth speaker under $150!
Keep in mind, this is a PORTABLE, bluetooth speaker. It may not have the best sound quality for ALL speakers, but it has the best sound for any bluetooth speaker in its class. The bad reviews must have compared it to a home system with more than 2 speakers.
I have trired the Beats Pill, Jawbone Jambox, Jabra Soulmate, Philips Shoqbox, Logitech Mini Boom, JBL Flip, JBL Mini, HMDX Jam & many others. The best would be the Pill & Jambox, but they are double the price! The G-Grip is pretty much the same audio quality as the Jabra & Philips speakers, but is much cheaper! Then there are the Logitech, JBL, & HMDX speakers which do not compare to this! Also, this thing is pretty much indestructible!
hands down, this is the best speaker in its class and is very affordable! I would recommend this for anyone looking for a good, durable, portable bluetooth speaker!
not waterproof!!!
@Fred Ziffle I didn’t say it was waterproof. I said we had recently reviewed G-Project’s waterproof G-Go speaker.
Junk…only lasted 4 months…..stopped working, called customer service and they hung up on me!
I have had it for 2 months and it no longer works. It does not pair up with my device anymore. It was nice while it lasted. Now I have to use it with a cable. I would not recommend this to anyone.
Same here! Worked great…for a few months…then it stopped pairing. Don’t waste your money!!!
I bought this a few days ago – July 4, 2013. It worked great with my iPhone 4S the first time I tried it. Unfortunately, I can’t get it to pair again. I even tried clearing it by holding down the pair button. No luck. I will be returning it.
I have had mine for a long time and I found that the only times I couldn’t pair it was when I had my IPad close by because it was paired with that and my wife’s IPad too. If I turned off blue tooth on both those IPads temporarily it would pair right up.
My problem is the charger cable stoped working after almost a year and I don’t know where to get a new one or if it is the speaker itself that isn’t holding the charge. I lost all the paperwork a long time ago so I have to find a customer service number online and hope they are good at taking care of problems.
Love it I have had it for at least 5 months now and I love it. I even dropped it in a bucket of water on accident and no problems with it. For those having pairing problems make your phone delete the pairing and repair them that worked for me
Got one as a gift…worked well bought another..works well but the first one quit. No way to contact G-Project or customer service. Don’t buy one. Don’t buy one, just don’t. No customer service. Use it for target practice. They just refuse to give you any help. Somebody call the fed on them!
