While perhaps not the most stylish watch available, the Mutewatch comes with a touch sensitive screen, clock, alarm and time functions. Alarms can be set which vibrate rather than sounding and you have the choice between short and long vibration giving you discrete alarms. The Mutewatch also features a built-in motion sensor so that high levels of movement trigger an increase in the intensity of the vibrating alarm and a simple flick of your wrist activates the glowing display. The watch is charged via USB.

Available for $259 from Mutewatch in Charcoal Grey, Poppy Red or Pure White.

There have been vibrating watches for decades. I got a digital one over ten years ago for $60. $259 is way too high for this – the fancy touch interface does not justify the price. Besides, I do not want to have to touch the watch to see what time it is – I just want to look at it and see the time.
