Forget your pants leg, now you can use your tie to clean your smartphone’s screen

We all do it… When our smartphone’s screen gets smudgy and fingerprinty (those are technical terms), we polish them on our pants leg or tshirt to clean them. Sometimes that helps, other times, not so much. Instead of carrying a microfiber cloth in your pocket for this job, you can use the back of your SwipeTie. SwipeTies look like a premium silk necktie, but they have a special lining made of microfiber that works perfectly for cleaning screens and eye glasses. There are currently 6 styles of SwipeTies, which are priced at $34.95.

It looks a bit long if it goes all the way down to the floor. Do they make a shorter version?

@HG It’s designed that way so you can dry mop your hardwood floors with the microfiber cleaning pad while you’re doing other things. ;)

Hope they will make a spritzer tie-clip accessory which can hold a bit of cleaning solution for those stubborn smudges!

At last — a truly functional use for a necktie!

Looks like there are actually fifteen versions. They have six “featured” on their home page.

Although, if I still wore ties, I’d just sew a square of microfiber into the back of them.
