I started the books a couple weeks ago, and am almost done with the first book. Fantastic story and HBO did a terrific job of staying true to the book. I have found a few differences, but nothing that I would complain about. One thing the books give you that was lacking from the show is a better sense of the history and backstory.
@Eric I’m only a few chapters in and am also enjoying it quite a bit. I agree that the series is very close to the book (at least so far).
Seems way too short to me. By the time the dog is done that metal hilt guard will be hot enough from radiant heat to grill your knuckles.
