Barnes and Noble has announced the Lyra Book Light case for the Nook in their online store.  The cover is made of polyurethane, and uses a polycarbonate clip mechanism to hold the Nook in place.  The LED light assembly is made of aluminum and plated chrome.  Three AAA batteries are required, and they fit into a battery compartment on the back side of the case.  There is no price nor estimated ship time available for the Lyra case yet.

Scott, thanks for posting the link. I forgot to include it in the news post – I don’t know what I was thinking. I have updated the post to add the link.

No ship date for the STUPID NOOK LYRA BOOK COVER from “BARNS AND BUMBLE” because once again, they have offered a product that they don’t have…

Did you read the post. The post says “announced”, not “Available”. Announced generally means that it is forthcoming.

It took a couple of months, but B&N is selling the Lyra Book Light Case now. If you click the link in the post, you’ll be able to order online. I was also offered the option of paying online and picking it up at my local store in 60 minutes.

go to best buy and get a case w/ a light. it’s an actual case and it’s VERY bright and CHEAPER. B&N is so ridiculous….the waiting period for the lyra light case was absurd. AND, it doesnt even cover the nook.
