What a dangerous idea. In an accident, the rear passenger’s head is going to smash into the mounted device. The shattered LCD and plastic will finish off what the impact couldn’t.
And don’t tell me that a seatbelt will prevent that. It won’t. I have been in an accident where the rear passengers were wearing seatbelts. That didn’t stop one of the passengers from smashing her head into headrest and getting a cut lip. Imagine smashing into a slate of glass, plastic and metal instead.
