MOFT has turned its folding Dynamic Folio into a full case for the iPhone Duo. The cover protects the outer screen, folds into a stand in four positions and doubles as a finger grip.
It’s $89.99 in Navy Blue or Misty Cove x Sapphire. Preorders are open now on MOFT’s own store, with $10 off taken at checkout, and shipping starts in mid-December. It isn’t on Amazon yet.

One case doing four jobs

The Dynamic Folio Case clips onto the Duo like a regular case. It covers the back, the outer display, the front and rear edges and the hinge. Raised borders keep the screen and the camera bump off the table when you set the phone down.
The sides stay open, so the fingerprint sensor and the camera controls are still easy to reach. The volume buttons are aluminum, and the speaker cutouts line up with the Duo’s grilles.
The shell is MOFT’s MOVAS-P vegan leather. MOFT says the corners and the top and bottom edges get extra padding, but it doesn’t claim a drop rating.
Four stand positions

The origami-style cover folds into two landscape angles, 50 and 60 degrees, for video and calls. There’s a 50-degree portrait position for reading, and a lower Lounge Mode angle for watching in bed or propping the phone on a soft surface.
Each position works with the Duo folded or unfolded. That’s the useful part on a foldable. The big inner screen is where you watch things, and it’s also the heaviest way to hold the phone.

A grip for the big screen

Fold the cover a different way and it becomes a grip you slide your fingers behind. It sits in the center of the back, so it works in either hand and spreads the weight of the unfolded phone across your fingers instead of your pinky.
It folds flat back into the cover when you’re done. There’s nothing extra to snap on or lose.
Case or magnetic folio

MOFT already sells the Dynamic Folio for iPhone Duo for $69.99. It’s the same folding cover with the same four angles, but it attaches magnetically to the back. It’s 1.9mm thin, weighs about 73 grams, ships in mid-November and pops off when you want to swap in another magnetic accessory.
The new case costs $20 more. For that you get a secure clip-in fit and protection on the corners, edges and hinge, which the magnetic version doesn’t cover. If you take the stand off often, the magnetic one makes more sense. If you just want one thing on the phone all day, get the case.

Price and shipping

The case is $89.99, and the $10 preorder discount brings it to $79.99 at checkout. MOFT quotes 5 to 10 business days for US standard shipping once orders ship in mid-December. That’s cutting it close for a holiday gift, so order early if that’s the plan.
MOFT’s warranty doesn’t cover normal wear like stains and scuffs on the leather, or accidental damage. That’s standard for a leather case, but it’s worth knowing before you pay $90 for one.
Who should buy it

Buy it if you already have an iPhone Duo and use the inner screen for video, reading or calls. A case, a stand and a grip in one piece is the cleanest way to carry a foldable, and the clip-in fit means the stand won’t slide off in a bag.
Skip it if you swap magnetic accessories often, or if you need the case before mid-December. The $69.99 magnetic Dynamic Folio ships sooner and comes off in a second.

Want something on Amazon today? TORRAS’s Q3 VegSkin case is $79.99, with a vegan leather back and a 360-degree magnetic ring stand instead of a folding cover, so it doesn’t protect the outer screen.
For most Duo owners who want one case and nothing else, MOFT’s version is the one to preorder.
