Voxel looks like a cardboard box that learned to walk. Tuesday Labs, a New York robotics studio, calls it a droid butler: a two-legged home robot that’s meant to tidy up, find lost things, fetch and water plants.
It’s estimated at $20,000. You can reserve a Series-1 now for $200, fully refundable, but deliveries aren’t expected to start until 2028.

Four jobs at launch

Tuesday Labs lists four launch jobs. Home Reset puts things back where they belong. Find tells you where it last saw your phone or wallet. Fetch brings you a book, a drink or your keys. Tend waters the plants.
Here’s Tuesday Labs’ official demo.
Each arm has seven degrees of freedom and ends in a simple gripper. The Z-shaped legs bend to raise or lower the body, so it can reach a counter, a table or a shelf, and cameras handle vision and navigation. Laundry and dishes are on the wish list, not the launch list.
A character, not an appliance

The design is the hook. Voxel has a boxy body, colored panels, pixel eyes and backward-bending legs. Tuesday Labs worked with former Pixar animators and character designers on how it moves, so its walk is deliberately a little awkward and full of small gestures.
What $200 gets you

The $200 is a reservation, not a purchase. It holds a spot in the first production run and is applied to the price if you buy. You can cancel for a full refund at any point before ordering.
- US delivery addresses only
- $20,000 is an estimate and isn’t binding; a monthly payment option is expected
- Units are numbered in reservation order, and the number is painted on the robot
- That number isn’t a delivery position, and deliveries may begin in select US areas first
The fine print

Voxel is a development prototype. Tuesday Labs expects to substantially redesign the hardware before delivery, and the final look, specs and features may differ from what’s shown now. Some current demos use teleoperation, with a person controlling the robot.
It also hasn’t received FCC equipment authorization yet, and delivery depends on getting it. The 2028 date comes with the company’s own note that it may slip.
Who should reserve one

Reserve one only if you’re happy to treat $200 as a refundable bet on a prototype. Nobody can judge a $20,000 home robot from launch videos, and you won’t have to decide on the real price until Tuesday Labs shows the final product.

Voxel is the most charming home robot pitch of the year. It’s still two years and one redesign away from your living room.
