The RedMagic 12 Pro makes its cooling hardware part of the look. Its transparent rear design surrounds a dual-loop liquid-cooling system and fan, while the US starting price climbs to $949.
That’s $250 above the $699 launch price of the RedMagic 11 Pro. The new phone brings an 8,400mAh battery, a 185Hz screen and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.

Cooling you can see
REDMAGIC’s specifications pair that chip with AquaCore 3.0 dual-loop cooling, a 25,500RPM fan, liquid metal and a vapor chamber. Qualcomm’s Adreno GPU has matrix cores, while REDMAGIC adds its RedCore R5 gaming chip. The 520Hz shoulder triggers give your index fingers controls of their own.
A fast screen, with a Steam caveat
The 6.85-inch AMOLED panel reaches up to 185Hz, though individual games need to support the higher frame rates. A 16MP under-display camera keeps the screen free of a punch hole. REDMAGIC also advertises Steam account access to purchased PC games, but its US product page doesn’t provide a title-by-title compatibility list. Don’t buy it assuming your whole Steam library will run.
Big battery, fewer wired options
The 8,400mAh battery supports 80W wired and 80W wireless charging, while the standard box contents omit a power adapter. This is an 8.55mm-thick, 223g phone with IP68 and IP69 water-resistance ratings. You get 50MP main and ultrawide rear cameras, but no telephoto camera, no 3.5mm headphone jack and no eSIM.
US prices and Early Bird dates
Nightfreeze black comes in three configurations; Subzero silver starts at 16GB/512GB.
| Memory and storage | US launch price | Colors |
|---|---|---|
| 12GB/256GB | $949 | Nightfreeze |
| 16GB/512GB | $1,049 | Nightfreeze, Subzero |
| 16GB/1TB | $1,199 | Nightfreeze, Subzero |
The US launch page lists $1 Early Bird vouchers for November 12 to 17, 2026. Eligible buyers can order from November 17 at 7AM EST, with open sales starting November 18 at 7AM EST. The $919 price tag needs that separate $1 voucher, so you’re paying $920 before tax. Applying it also qualifies the order for a charger and merchandise gift set. The voucher isn’t a deposit or a stock reservation, and early access doesn’t guarantee faster shipping.
Who should buy it
The 16GB/512GB model adds RAM and doubles storage for $100 over the base phone. It’s the sensible step up if large game downloads keep forcing you to clear space.

Buy it for Android gaming where shoulder controls and active cooling are the draw. If eSIM, a 3.5mm headphone jack or a telephoto camera are essentials, skip it.
