The UGREEN MagFlow Pro Qi2 25W Magnetic Wireless Charger with Cooling takes a more aggressive approach than a conventional charging puck. It combines up to 25W Qi2 magnetic charging with thermoelectric cooling and a built-in fan designed to pull heat away from the charging area.
Instead of treating cooling as an afterthought, UGREEN has made it the feature that separates the MagFlow Pro from simpler Qi2 pads.
25W wireless charging has limits
The MagFlow Pro supports up to 25W wireless charging with compatible Qi2 25W phones. That maximum speed is not universal, though: actual charging power depends on the phone, its software, battery temperature, and the power adapter connected to the charger.
Attaching an older iPhone magnetically does not make it a 25W charging device. UGREEN lists up to 15W charging for the iPhone 12 through iPhone 15 families, while compatible wireless earbuds can charge at up to 5W.

UGREEN says the MagFlow Pro can charge an iPhone 17 Pro Max from empty to about 53% in 30 minutes. That is a manufacturer test result rather than independent testing by The Gadgeteer, and real-world results will vary with battery level, temperature, software, and background activity.
There is another condition behind the headline performance. UGREEN recommends a 45W or higher USB-C PD power adapter for maximum charging and cooling performance, and the adapter is sold separately.
TEC cooling is the difference
Most basic wireless charging pads rely mainly on passive heat dissipation. The MagFlow Pro instead uses thermoelectric cooling, commonly called TEC or Peltier cooling, alongside an active fan.
A thermoelectric cooler uses electrical power to create a temperature difference across a semiconductor module. In the MagFlow Pro, that system is designed to cool the surface in contact with the phone while the fan helps move heat away from the charger.

The cooling system activates automatically when a compatible phone attaches magnetically. UGREEN also says users can press and hold the charger’s button for about two seconds to switch the cooling system on or off manually.
UGREEN claims that, when charging an iPhone 17 Pro Max, the system can reduce temperature by around 6.5°F under typical test conditions and by as much as 10.8°F compared with a non-cooled charger.
Those are manufacturer test results, not independent measurements. What is clear from the hardware is that the MagFlow Pro actively cools its charging surface rather than relying entirely on passive heat dissipation.
Best when the phone is busy
Active cooling is most compelling when the phone is generating heat of its own. Gaming is the obvious example. The processor and display consume power while wireless charging adds another source of heat. Navigation, video calls, streaming, and other sustained workloads can create similar conditions.

UGREEN positions the MagFlow Pro for these situations and says its cooling system helps reduce heat buildup while maintaining more stable charging performance.
That should not be read as proof that the charger boosts gaming performance or extends battery lifespan by a specific amount. Those benefits would require long-term, controlled independent testing.
The fan is a tradeoff
Active cooling means accepting something standard charging pucks do not need: a fan. UGREEN describes the fan as quiet, but it remains a moving component. Anyone planning to use the MagFlow Pro on a bedside table should consider whether active cooling is necessary for overnight charging.

The cooling hardware also explains the comparatively high power requirement. UGREEN recommends a 45W or higher USB-C PD adapter to deliver its best charging and cooling performance, even though the phone receives a maximum of 25W wirelessly.
The charger includes a 1.5-meter braided USB-C cable, so buyers only need to supply the appropriate power adapter.
Magnetic compatibility matters
The MagFlow Pro is compatible with Qi2 and earlier Qi wireless-charging devices, although charging speed depends on the connected hardware.
Its magnetic attachment is designed primarily for compatible iPhones and magnetic cases. UGREEN says iPhone 12-series and newer models work with its magnetic system, and it recommends a magnetic case if you use a protective case.

That distinction matters: Qi compatibility alone does not guarantee a phone will attach magnetically to the charger.
Who should buy it?
The MagFlow Pro makes the most sense for someone who wants faster magnetic wireless charging and regularly uses their phone while it remains on the charger.
Its combination of up to 25W Qi2 charging, TEC cooling, a built-in fan, and magnetic attachment makes it particularly interesting for gaming, streaming, video calls, navigation, and desk use where a phone may be working while charging.
If you mainly put your phone on a charger overnight, active cooling may be unnecessary complexity. A conventional Qi2 charging pad can do that job without a fan or the need for as much input power. You should also budget for a suitable 45W or higher USB-C PD power adapter if you do not already own one.
