REVIEW – I’m pretty sure I would not ever placed Utility Wagon on my “what do I really need” bingo card, but here we are. One recently came up for review from Litheli, a brand I’m only familiar with due to a string of reviews on the Gadgeteer by Julian. As a result I found myself thinking, what’s Litheli doing making a wagon when they usually make electric power tools. Well as it turns out that’s exactly what they do, including this W1 Pro Electric Foldable Camping Wagon! Bingo card revised with that box checked!

Design and features
The W1 Pro Wagon at its core isn’t too dissimilar from other wagons you may have seen at tailgates or parks. It uses an accordion folding structure, with a buckle to keep it folded when needed.
The big 8″ wheels allow it to get up and over most terrain that isn’t a straight up curb, and the two front swivel wheels both have foot brakes to keep the cart from wandering away.
The standout feature is obviously the 500w electric motor that drives the fixed rear wheel.
It’s powered by Litheli’s U20 powerbank (20,000mAh). The model I received had 2 of these but there are different bundles are available with one or none, or Litheli’s big B1000 PowerStation. The U20 powerbanks feel small next to this wagon but pack a lot of juice.
Inside on the handle end are two mesh bags which can be used for holding spare powerbanks, a water bottle or whatever you decide their purpose is. So load up the wagon, install a powerbank, lean the handle forward and push with your thumb to squeeze the trigger (like a mower) and then smile as it motors along behind you.
Assembly, Installation, Setup
Setup doesn’t get any easier. Lift the W1 Pro out of the box. Pop the two front wheels into place until you hear them click, and then plug the power bank (or two) into a power source to charge. When it’s time to use the wagon, drop one of the power banks into the hinged enclosure near the handle.
And make sure the orange power key is pushed into place as shown above.
Note: The handle needs to be angled down from the cart or the e-brake is applied. You then press the thumb button to allow you to squeeze the trigger and the cart will start to move. Rotate the dial with your finger to adjust the speed.
You are now ready to have the W1 Pro work for you!
Performance
I’ve always got some kind of project going on and lately it’s been been working on a property out in Joshua Tree. This W1 Pro came along at a perfect time where I’ve been able to use it across 5 acres of desert landscape to collect trash and move tools and pre-cut lumber wherever I’ve needed to go. It’s been crazy handy.
The wagon is really easy to unfold and fold again with only the buckle being awkwardly placed. To unfold, unclip that buckle, then with the wagon on its wheels, push the two ends away from each other until the cargo bin lays flat. Lift the two sides over the center hinges, pull up the handle until it clicks and you’re good. To unfold, press the button at the bottom of the handle to collapse it, pull those sides off the center hinges then pull the loop in the bottom center of the cargo bin to have the cart fold up. Then you can fidget and find the best way to access that buckle to keep it folded. Here’s a quick video showing both of those.
Here’s a bit more info you might want to know. The hand controls work kind of like a mower. Press the thumb button to be able to squeeze the full-width trigger to engage the motor, however, if the handle is vertical, the wagon will not move. This is a safety feature that basically uses the angle of the handle to engage the brakes if the cart gets too close behind you, or is too close as you start to move.
Another note is the handle is definitely oriented for a right hander with fingers down through the top, or a left hander fingers up from below. I’d love to see a way to flip the handle 180 if you wanted the other orientation.
My favorite feature (other than the motor) is the rear tailgate that drops down like a truck with a couple of clips and zippers. It’s a great add and doesn’t feel flimsy. The inside of the cart can get messy depending on what you’re hauling around, so being able to drop this to sweep out the inside is awesome.
Final thoughts
So do you need one of these? Yes, but not really, but yes. The W1 Pro has already exceeded my expectations. It folds and unfolds easily, has great cargo capacity, an awesome tailgate and it’s powered so you back doesn’t have to do any twisted pulling. Right now, I’m willing to bet that similar unpowered folding carts aren’t priced much differently than the sale price this is currently at.
What I like about the Litheli W1 Pro
- Electric powered cargo mover
- The mini-tailgate for longer cargo or easy dog loading
- Folds small enough for almost any trunk
- Interchangeable powerbanks make staying powered easy
What needs to be improved?
- Stay folded buckle is awkwardly placed
- Would be nice to be able to rotate the handle 180 for lefties
