JSAUX phone stand 1

REVIEW – If you are like me, your phone is somewhat an extension of your body.  Of course, I jest, but I use my phone all day for just about everything in my life, so it’s always within reach.  We can debate later about how healthy that is, but I digress.  On my desk at the office, my cellphone is usually lying flat on the desk, and I pick it up a hundred times a day to interact with something.  But I have discovered in recent years that having a good phone stand of some kind built into the phone cover is essential for me.  That way, my phone is standing up and easier to see and interact with.  But I just got a new phone… the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold.  It’s pretty awesome (just in case you wondered) but it is quite a bit heavier than my last phone (the Google Pixel 6 Pro) and I haven’t yet found a cover for the Fold with a built-in stand that can work with this behemoth of a phone without it falling over because of the weight.  So I needed a portable stand that I could at least use at the office to hold this phone upright during the day.  When I saw the JSAUX phone stand, I figured I had found my stand.  Let’s check it out.

Design and features

When I opened the box, I was very pleasantly surprised that you actually get two stands.  When you hold a stand in your hand, you feel the cool, brushed aluminum finish.  The stand is made up of 2 pieces of metal that are connected, with one piece sort of inside the other piece.  Then you push the inside piece outward at an angle, and that makes the stand.   It’s easier to show you, so here is a great pic from JSUAX that shows it going from completely flat to a stand with any adjustable angle.

So as I mentioned, I just got the Pixel 9 Pro Fold cellphone.  It’s got a 6.3″ screen when you use it like a normal cellphone, but when you open it up, you get an 8-inch screen, like a mini tablet.  That’s what you see in the first picture of the top of this review.  The JSAUX stand handles either configuration of the cellphone with ease.  I now have it sitting at the base of my monitor every day at work, so I have quick access to interact with my phone.

The stand is really sturdy as well.  The movement of the two pieces of metal is very tight and firm, and once you place it on the table, it isn’t going anywhere, and you have no fear of the stand closing up or falling down.  On the very bottom of the stand, where the two pieces of metal touch the table, are silicone pads that also ensure the stand doesn’t slip.  And the two places on the stand where my cellphone touches also have silicone pads so that my cellphone doesn’t touch the metal or get scratched. The bottom part of the stand where my cellphone sits on the silicone pads is open in the middle, so to speak.  This is convenient because if your phone’s charging port is located on the bottom of your phone, then you can plug in your charging cable while you are using the stand. And you’ll also notice on that bottom part that there are two small ‘nubs’ that prevent your cellphone from slipping off the stand.  Honestly, this stand is kinda like a piece of art!

Finally, because they included two stands in the box, I can leave 1 of them at the office and 1 of them at home.  But in the event that you travel, this thing is so slim that you can drop it in a bag, pocket, jacket, etc, and take it with you.  I recently went a trip and while watching movies on my phone on the plane the JSAUX stand was perfect to sit my phone on the tray table without having to hold it in my hand or rig it somehow on the seatback.  Here are some more pics of my phone on the stand at my office, in different orientations.

Final thoughts

I was a little surprised by how much I love this stand.  It’s sturdy and smooth, not loose in any way, and it folds flat for easy portability. It holds my huge phone with ease, and the price is great.  And the silicone pads throughout mean that I don’t have to worry about scratching my phone. And the fact that you get 2 stands in the box is icing on the cake!  This would be a great gift for those you love.

    1. So I have always been an Android guy from day one. I’ve never owned an iPhone. It drives my entire family crazy, and that honestly amuses me. But I digress. I’m finding it hard to not overstate this, but this is the most amazing phone I’ve ever owned. It’s thin, it’s fast, and you have no idea how handy the large internal screen is until you start using it on a regular basis. Reading news, navigating through websites looking at pictures and videos, reading emails… It’s just better on a large screen. Then I can fold it up and put it in my pocket and go on my way. I even bought a portable keyboard that I use with this phone. When I go to meetings I just open up Microsoft Word on my phone and type my notes. You should probably head to a Verizon store and check one out!
