The camera pictured above is the Insta360 Ace Pro 2, the current model. Every product image in this piece shows the shipping Ace Pro 2.
The Insta360 Ace Pro 3 has a face. A leaked render shared by leaker Igor Bogdanov, who posts as Quadro_News on X, shows the next Ace flagship in a redesigned body built around an octagonal Leica lens housing, and in the render the front of the camera carries a full color screen displaying a framed scene where the Ace Pro 2 keeps a small status display.
The image reads as a product render rather than a photograph of a retail unit, and some of the fine lens lettering looks uneven. A leaked photo of a regulatory screen lists a bigger battery than the one in the current camera.

The box price buys the Ace Pro 2 Single Battery Bundle in Midnight Black. An SD card and the Pocket Printer shown in some of the photos are sold separately.
What’s different about the new body?
The render shows a black body, with a white version appearing in the same leak set, and the layout stays recognizably Ace: flip touchscreen on the back, red accent ring up front, and an Ace Pro 3 badge low on the face. The lens housing is the break from the current design: an eight-sided module with the Leica name across the top.
The front screen is the functional change. On the Ace Pro 2, the small front display shows settings and status, so framing a shot of yourself means flipping the rear touchscreen up and over. In the render, the Ace Pro 3’s front screen displays a full scene image, a house framed in it, with an illustrated recording readout and a battery readout in the corners. A render can display a scene without proving a live viewfinder, and simultaneous operation of both screens is not established by it. If the shipping camera does frame from the front, a step disappears from every self-shot setup.

How much bigger is the battery?
If the leaked label is accurate, the Ace Pro 3 carries a 2,250mAh battery: 450mAh more than the 1,800mAh cell Insta360 rates in the Ace Pro 2, a 25 percent jump in capacity. The figure comes from a leaked photo of the camera’s regulatory information screen, which lists model CINSABUA and a battery spec of 3.87V, 2,250mAh, 8.71Wh. The photo has not been independently authenticated, and correct arithmetic on its figures does not authenticate the label or confirm a final retail battery.
The fccid.io index for this filing lists an equipment authorization grant for model CINSABUA to Arashi Vision Inc., the company behind Insta360, covering dual-band Wi-Fi on 2.4GHz and 5GHz plus Bluetooth, and it also lists an SAR report that has not been inspected for this piece. Runtime stays unproven. The 2h59m readout in the render is an illustrated UI value, and Insta360 has published no endurance rating for the new camera.

Is the 1-inch sensor real?
Reports point to a 1-inch, 50MP sensor in the Ace Pro 3, against the 1/1.3-inch sensor in the Ace Pro 2. The report stands unconfirmed: the larger octagonal housing does not establish a larger sensor behind the glass.
The Ace Pro 2 pairs that sensor with 8K30 video, 50MP stills, and a dedicated PureVideo low-light mode, so a 1-inch sensor would have to win on dynamic range and night footage rather than on resolution headlines. Insta360 has announced nothing.

Should I buy the Ace Pro 2 now or wait?
Anyone shopping now is shopping for the Ace Pro 2, and it remains an easy camera to recommend, with the flip screen, the Leica color profiles, and the accessory shelf the Ace line has built up over two generations. Buyers cross-shopping the category will also land on our action camera guide and our DJI Osmo Pocket 4P comparison, where Insta360’s pocket cameras take on DJI directly.
