DJI’s Osmo Pocket 4P is the first Pocket with two cameras. A 1-inch wide camera with a 20mm-equivalent f/2.0 lens sits under a 60mm-equivalent f/1.8 telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and both ride on the same 3-axis gimbal in a 230g body. It’s on sale in the UK, Europe, China and other markets, but DJI hasn’t released it in the US.
That leaves US shoppers with imported units from third-party Amazon sellers or a camera they can buy here. Insta360 sells three that each cover part of what the Pocket 4P does: the GO Ultra, the X5 and the Leica-lensed Luna Pro. For most people who want a pocket gimbal in the US today, the Luna Pro is the closest match.

What the Pocket 4P adds
The main camera is the big upgrade over the Pocket 3. DJI rates its new 1-inch sensor at 17 stops of dynamic range, and it shoots up to 4K at 240fps for 8x slow motion, with a new 10-bit D-Log 2 profile for grading. Photos go up to 37MP.
The second camera pairs a smaller 1/1.28-inch sensor with that 60mm lens. You get 3x optical zoom and up to 12x total zoom, and ActiveTrack 8.0 keeps a subject centered even at 12x. That’s the big change for a Pocket owner: you can cut from a wide street shot to a tight portrait without walking closer or carrying a second camera.
The rest is a practical spec sheet. It has 103GB of built-in storage, 800MB/s wired transfers over USB 3.1, up to 210 minutes of runtime, and a 0 to 80% charge in 18 minutes.
Why the Pocket 3 is still DJI’s US option
DJI has been on the FCC’s Covered List since December 2025, which blocks new DJI hardware from the authorization it needs for US sale. DJI’s US site has no Pocket 4P page, and the Pocket 4P listings on Amazon come from third-party importers at roughly $740 to $1,079 depending on the bundle, not from DJI or Amazon. Imported units also skip DJI’s US warranty support.

The Osmo Pocket 3 is still sold here. It has the same basic recipe with one lens: a 1-inch sensor, 4K at 120fps, a 3-axis gimbal and a rotating 2-inch screen, at 179g. It’s $439 at Amazon right now, down from $499.

Insta360 Luna Pro: the closest US match

The Luna Pro is the same kind of camera as the Pocket: a 3-axis gimbal with a screen you frame from. It answers DJI with a Leica Summicron f/1.8 lens on a 1-inch 8K sensor, and it records 8K at 30fps with Dolby Vision, 4K at 120fps for slow motion, and native 4K30 vertical video for social clips. The 2-inch OLED touchscreen detaches and works as a remote. It weighs 215g and runs up to 240 minutes at 1080p24.
What it doesn’t have is a telephoto camera. Zoom tops out at 4x through cropping and processing, so it can’t match the Pocket 4P’s 60mm lens for portraits. If you want two lenses, Insta360’s Luna Ultra adds a telephoto camera with up to 12x zoom for $769.99 at Amazon. That dual-camera Luna is the real rival to the Pocket 4P, and it’s one you can buy in the US.
Insta360 GO Ultra: smaller and hands-free

The GO Ultra goes the other way. It’s a 53g camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and 4K60 video that clips to a chest strap or a cap and keeps rolling while your hands stay free. There’s no mechanical gimbal, so stabilization is electronic, and you aim it with your body instead of a screen in your hand.
That’s the tradeoff in one line. The Pocket gives you a framed, gimbal-steadied shot; the GO Ultra gives you footage you didn’t have to hold a camera to get.

Insta360 X5: two lenses pointed every direction

The X5 also has two lenses, but they face opposite ways. Its dual 1/1.28-inch sensors capture 8K30 360 video, so you pick your angle after you shoot instead of aiming in the moment. It’s waterproof and rugged, and the lenses are replaceable if you scratch one.
The Pocket 4P frames one chosen view and holds it steady on a gimbal. The X5 captures everything around you and lets you reframe later. Pick the X5 if you shoot action, travel or anything you can’t predict.

The Pocket 4P is the most capable pocket gimbal here on paper, and its telephoto camera is a real reason for Pocket 3 owners to upgrade. In the US, though, it’s an import with no DJI support. The Luna Pro gets you a 1-inch gimbal camera with 8K and a Leica lens at a US price, and the Luna Ultra covers the second lens if that’s what you’re after.
