Oraimo Scrubber 20

REVIEW – When we moved into our house, I knew the boys’ bathroom was going to be a pain to clean. It’s covered in wall-to-wall tiny off-white tiles that seem to attract gunk and grime; I’m talking the walls, tub and floor! When we haven’t had the time and energy to scour it by hand, I’ve called in Stanely Steamer to help. But when I saw the Oraimo spin scrubber, I thought it might be a nice alternative.

What is it?

The Oraimo electric spin scrubber operates in two modes (low and high) and comes with three scrub brushes, a mesh carrying bag, a hook, a charger, and an extension pole.

Design and features

Setup

When the Oraimo spin scrubber arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at how light it was (3.52 pounds). I was also happy with how quickly we could put it together.

You connect the handle with the scrub-brush section with a simple click.

If you prefer to use the extension pole, you click that into place as well, and then turn it to loosen it and adjust to your ideal height, turning it back to tighten when it’s the length you want. (I’m 5’8″ and prefer to use this fully extended.)

Then you just need to charge it up. You plug the charging cable into the port on the top of the handle section, connect to your power source, and wait until the light turns green to indicate it’s fully charged.

Performance

The Oraimo spin scrubber is very simple and intuitive to use.

To turn it on, you hit the power button, and you can toggle from low speed to high speed using the button just next to the power button.

You have three brushes to choose from, depending on what you’re cleaning.Oraimo Scrubber 15 1

The largest brushes are quite big and cover a lot of surface area. You can see the flat one is nearly as large as a soda can.

The corner brush is great for tight spots, if you want to concentrate on a smaller spot, or for fitting into tight places, such as the little, awkward space behind the toilet.

To switch brushes, you just line up the brush and click it into place.

To remove it, just press the buttons on either side and lift up.

I was impressed with the battery life. I’ve had another electric scrubber but it died so quickly that it rarely could finish a cleaning job, making it inconvenient to use. This electric scrubber has cleaned two showers (that were in bad shape!), a kitchen sink, a stovetop, and a good portion of the bathroom floor, all on the highest setting, before it needed recharging. The manual says it can last 90 minutes on a single charge, and I believe it.

I started my cleaning test with a challenge. Mason went on a kayaking trip a couple of months ago and used our downstairs shower to clean his feet. But he never rinsed the shower afterward, nor did he mention it to anyone. We very rarely use that shower, and when I noticed it, I knew the crusted-on sand would be a pain to clean.

After just a couple of minutes, the Oraimo spin scrubber spin brush did the heavy lifting for me, making the job a whole lot easier.

With the help of The Pink Stuff, I easily buffed out a grease stain off my stovetop.

Using the Oraimo spin scrubber, I’ve been slowly working on the little tiles in the bathroom, my original goal. I’m especially liking the corner tool for really getting into those tough spots that are so hard to get by hand.

I like the small, thoughtful features, such as the carrying bag for the brush heads.

The hook is also a small thing, but it’s very nice to have. I’ve been hanging this just outside a shower where it’s out of the way but handy when I need it.

What I like

  • Amazing battery life
  • Cleans well
  • Brush head options and adjustable pole

What I’d change

  • Nothing

Final thoughts

The Oraimo spin scrubber is a helpful tool for cleaning your home, saving both time and energy, while helping scrub tough messes and tight spots.
