dots gloves fleeceMost of the US is COLD now, even in the south.  It’s too cold to go outside without a coat, hat, and gloves.  But people with iPhones and other devices with capacitive screens have to decide between frostbite and using their devices.  Dot Gloves are designed to let you use your device and keep your fingertips, too.  They offer knitted gloves with the fingertips of the thumb, index, and middle fingers knit from a conductive yarn or fleece gloves with conductive dots on each of those fingers.  Right now, you can get the fleece gloves from Dots Gloves for $25.  Two styles of knitted gloves will be available starting in February for $15 or $20 a pair.

  2. I’ve had both types of gloves that they offer and found them both to very hard to use. The ones pictured are the worse of the two types they offer. While it sounds like a nice idea in practice they don’t work.

  3. I have a pair- and they fail in really cold temps because they use thermal conductive threads. Which in cold weather conducts cold to your fingers..

  4. I have two pairs of the first generation Dots gloves. They work fine with my iPod (and all other mp3 players). I see they’ve changed the ‘dots,’ though so I cannot vouch for the newer designs.
