Although I’ve tried quite a few Bluetooth headsets, I’ve never really been a big fan of them. Don’t get me wrong, I think they are really useful, especially while driving, but most of them make you look like you’re part of the Borg collective. The Bit from Marware is really small, so if someone does happen to see you wearing one, they might not think you’re a total dork – maybe. This little guy features one-touch controls and a rechargeable battery which allows up to 3 hours of talk time and 100 hours of standby time. The bad news is that the included AC adapter that you use to charge the headset is about 5 times larger than the headset itself. The good news is that The Bit is priced at a very thrifty $19.99.

I like this. A lot. I have two Bluetooth headsets, one with more features than the other, but neither of them do I use regularly. However, I do wish I had one small enough that I could keep it with my other EDC so I could use it in the car. It doesn’t need to be fancy, just to do the job. And this one might just fit that need.
@Andy If you end up buying one, be sure to let us know what you think… Now that I have a car that has Bluetooth hands-free built in, I don’t need to even consider a headset anymore 🙂
I use a Jawbone Icon right now, but I am always looking for something smaller. I like using a Bluetooth headset when I am talking on the phone.
@ Julie I have built in Bluetooth in the Prius but sometimes it is too loud inside the car to carry on a decent conversation…

@Andy my car is Blue 😉 But I don’t think it will fit in my ear…
@ Andy – Although the hamster is a quiet little thing, the low rolling resistance tires and lack of any serious sound proofing is an issue. My 2005 Prius was much worse with noise levels in the cabin, my 2014 is somewhat better but by no means ins it luxury car quiet… As far as engine noise goes, for the most part it is pretty quiet but since the Prius has no gears when you are pushing it hard you can hear the engine whine…

@Larry – Good to know, actually. One of my friends has a Dodge Magnum with Bluetooth integration. I don’t think he ever had issues with it, but it was fairly quiet inside while driving.
Does it support a2dp?
@Greg the specs don’t mention A2DP, so probably not.
I’ve been using just about any new BT since my days of the old “two piece” BT for phones that didn’t have BT. I think it was a plantronics M100 or similar name. My job is a whole lot easier if I can keep my hands free. The “borg” implant does just that. Since the original Jawbone was released, execpt for the Jawbone2, I’ve had all of them. I even at one point tried that Zivio Boom, but after the 3rd replacement, I packed it away in the box (still got it too). I need noise canceling big time, and so far, the Jawbones have done the trick.
