Flopping earbud cords can be a problem when you’re trying to listen to music as you walk, run, or workout. This clever little headphone keeper has a built-in groove that prevents the cord from moving around so much, and it prevents the earbuds from dropping to the ground when you remove them from your ears. The Klingg started life as a crowd-funding project; it was successfully funded and is in production now. It even won the 2012’s DaVinci Institute Inventor’s showcase award for “best new product of the year”.
You can see from the images that the Klingg separates into two pieces; they are held together with neodymium magnets. These pieces hold firmly to your clothing, even heavy winter jackets, without the need for punching a hole through your shirt. There’s a groove in the front your earbud cable fits through, and the internal magnets and dimples at the sides will even hold your earbuds in place while you aren’t wearing them. Specifications say the Klingg works with most earbuds on the market.
The Klingg is available in eight color combinations for $19.95.

It would be more useful if you could wrap the cord around the thing when you are not using the headphones.
No way dude I have tried this and it’s amazing the wrappers don’t serve the purpose this thingy does. They sold this gadgets as there was no tomorrow at the ING Miami Marathon
Weren’t these called the Klinggons before?
I funded this project on Kickstarter and have to say they work great at isolating the rubbing cord noise when you run with earbuds. They do work with most earbuds cords, but not those with flat cables like the Monster iSport.
I like these a lot. Magnet is very secure. They are heavy, however, and can tug at clothing. Biggest downside is it will not work with flat cords (which most earbuds…my Klipsch and Jaybirds…are going to for tangle-free).
I would try again if this is fixed. Right now I’m extremely pleased with Bud Buttons. It’s also magnetic but accommodates flat cables.
