Three 50MP ZEISS Cameras for Portraits, Travel, and Selfies

vivo V80 FE 4

The V80 FE has three 50MP cameras covering main photography, ultra-wide shots, and selfies. All three carry ZEISS branding, with portrait features that give you several ways to frame your subjects.

The main camera uses a 1/1.56-inch sensor, an f/1.88 aperture, autofocus, and optical image stabilization. Stabilization compensates for hand movement when you’re taking pictures, particularly in lower light.

ZEISS Multifocal Portrait provides 23mm, 35mm, and 50mm framing options. You can use 23mm to include more of your surroundings, 35mm for street portraits, and 50mm for tighter compositions. ZEISS bokeh effects provide different background-blur styles without requiring additional editing.

The 50MP ultra-wide camera has a 120-degree field of view, an f/2.05 aperture, and autofocus. Vivo says photos capture a 109-degree field of view after distortion correction. That wider perspective lets you photograph buildings, landscapes, and larger groups when you have limited room to move.

The front camera also has a 50MP sensor, autofocus, and a 92-degree field of view. It accommodates group selfies and gives you more room around your subject during video calls.

Additional photography features include AI Aura Light Portrait 2.0, AI 3D Studio Lighting 2.0, creative fisheye effects, and 4K recording with the front and rear cameras.

The V80 FE has no dedicated telephoto camera. Its 50mm portrait option changes your framing, but it doesn’t provide a separate optical telephoto lens. The camera setup emphasizes portraits, wide scenes, and group selfies rather than long-distance optical zoom.

A 7,000mAh Battery With 90W Fast Charging

The V80 FE uses a BlueVolt battery with fourth-generation silicon-carbon anode technology. Vivo lists a typical capacity of 7,000mAh and a rated capacity of 6,800mAh. That capacity gives you a large power reserve for navigation, streaming, messaging, and other activities throughout the day.

In its lab tests, vivo recorded 17.6 hours of navigation and 15.5 hours of Reels scrolling.

The phone supports 90W FlashCharge, with a 50% charge in 29 minutes in vivo’s lab tests. A charger and USB cable are included in the package, so you have the supplied equipment for wired charging.

Reverse charging lets you use the V80 FE to supply power to a compatible accessory. The battery also incorporates second-generation semi-solid technology, with vivo specifying operation at temperatures as low as -20°C.

The 7,000mAh battery is one of the V80 FE’s main hardware attractions, although real-world endurance remains to be tested. If you regularly spend hours navigating, watching videos, or working away from an outlet, this is a practical reason to choose it.

A 120Hz AMOLED Display and Slim Glass Design

The V80 FE has a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2750 × 1260 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. You get a spacious screen for reading, watching videos, browsing, and viewing photographs.

Brightness reaches 1,800 nits in high brightness mode, with local peak brightness rated at 3,000 nits. The display can also dim to 1 nit, making nighttime reading more comfortable.

There are two finishes: Chill Green and Sparkling Gold. Chill Green measures 7.76mm thick and weighs 201g, while Sparkling Gold measures 7.84mm and weighs 202g. Both have glass backs and in-display optical fingerprint sensors.

The phone carries IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings. These cover specified water immersion and high-pressure water exposure conditions. Resistance can diminish with wear, and vivo says liquid damage isn’t covered by warranty.

The slim construction is appealing when you want a large battery without an unusually thick phone. At more than 200g, however, the V80 FE isn’t a lightweight choice. Skip it if keeping weight down is your main concern.

Dimensity 7400-Turbo Performance and Six Years of Security Updates

The V80 FE runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Turbo, a 4nm processor with an eight-core CPU. It comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

You also get up to 16GB of extended RAM, which uses internal storage as virtual memory. A 4,666mm² vapor chamber distributes heat during processor-intensive activities.

Dual stereo speakers handle audio for entertainment, while connectivity includes 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, and an infrared blaster. Physical SIM and eSIM configurations provide flexibility when managing mobile connections.

The phone runs OriginOS 7 based on Android 17, with vivo specifying six years of security updates. The six-year period starts on the product’s launch date in the country or region where you buy it. That’s a useful commitment if you prefer keeping your smartphone for several years instead of replacing it frequently.

The processor positions the V80 FE as a mid-range phone rather than a flagship gaming model.

Pricing and Availability

The vivo V80 FE is worth your attention if you want high-resolution cameras, substantial battery capacity, and fast wired charging in one phone. Its 120Hz AMOLED display and six-year security update commitment add to its appeal for long-term ownership.

The absence of a dedicated telephoto camera and flagship processor defines its limits. If you want optical zoom for distant subjects or top-tier gaming performance, choose a phone built around those features.
