The Yoga Slim 7x stuck with me for the parts of a laptop I use all day: a comfortable keyboard, a generous glass touchpad and an OLED screen that makes a long stretch at the desk more pleasant. Best Buy now has a $749.99 configuration in the same family, putting it back on my radar for readers shopping for a portable Windows machine.
There’s an important difference from my Yoga Slim 7x Gen 11 review. The discounted model has a Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100 processor, 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD. I tested the X2 Elite X2E-88-100 version with 32GB and 1TB. The photos here show my review unit, not the discounted configuration.

Why I liked using the Yoga Slim 7x
In that review, the keyboard was comfortable through long writing sessions, and the glass touchpad gave me plenty of room without accidental palm input getting in the way. I moved between documents, browser tabs and a WordPress editor without fighting the keyboard or touchpad.
The OLED panel delivered rich blacks and color, while the aluminum design was easy to carry. My X2 Elite unit stayed quiet during ordinary web and office work, and it got me through a full mixed-use workday with battery headroom. Those observations belong to the X2 Elite unit I tested, not a battery or performance test of this X2 Plus model.
What the $749.99 configuration includes
The offer is for model 83QR000AUS, Best Buy SKU 6672161, in Cosmic Blue. Alongside the X2 Plus chip, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, it has a 14-inch OLED touchscreen. Best Buy is the seller, rather than a marketplace merchant on the same product page.
Half the memory and half the storage of my review unit is a real tradeoff. If you keep a large local photo library or expect to juggle heavier creative projects, compare those capacities before choosing on price alone. For writing, browsing and office work, the lower price makes this configuration a useful place to start your comparison.
Windows on Snapdragon still calls for a look at the software you actually use, especially niche applications and games. My review also highlighted the USB-C-only layout and lack of a headphone jack on the tested unit. Think through your dock, monitor and wired accessories instead of assuming an older laptop’s connections will carry across unchanged.
At $749.99, the appeal is the OLED touchscreen and everyday design in a less expensive configuration. My review explains why I liked using the family; the CPU, memory and storage differences explain why this offer needs its own buying decision.
