Sticky kitchen floors make a robot vacuum’s mop more interesting than another big suction number. The eufy Omni C28 uses a roller that gets rinsed while it scrubs, with a scraper moving dirty water into a separate tank. That gives it a practical job beyond picking up the crumbs.

The black C28 is $499.99 on Amazon, $300 below the listing’s $799.99 comparison price. That’s a 37.5% reduction for the robot and its all-in-one station, sold by Anker EufyHome and shipped by Amazon. If you’ve been looking for a robot to handle regular hard-floor messes, the cleaning system is worth comparing with the flat-pad models at similar prices.

The roller is the reason to look closer

The Omni C28’s HydroJet system keeps refreshing the roller with clean water as it moves across the floor. Eufy’s US launch information lists 10N of downward force. The scraper collects dirty water along the way, rather than leaving all of the mop cleanup until the robot returns to its station.

We haven’t tested the C28, so we can’t say how many passes it will need for a particular spill.

Eufy rates suction at up to 15,000Pa. Its DuoSpiral brush system uses retracting brushes and comb teeth to help loosen wrapped hair.

The station handles the between-run cleanup

The included station empties the dustbin, washes and dries the mop, refills the robot’s water supply and collects wastewater. Those are useful functions if the reason you’ve avoided a robot mop is the thought of washing its pad after every outing.

There are still tanks, a dust bag and cleaning parts to look after. Eufy’s up-to-75-day dust-storage claim shouldn’t be read as 75 days without touching anything. How quickly a bag fills will depend on your home, pets and cleaning schedule. Leave enough room around the station to reach its water tanks and dust bag.

Match it to your floors

The C28 uses iPath 2.0 laser navigation and obstacle detection. Its roller can lift 10.8mm for carpet transitions, and eufy lists a 20mm threshold-crossing capability. Check those limits against thick rugs and raised door tracks in your home rather than assuming it will reach every room.

The stronger case for this model is a home with plenty of hard flooring where both vacuuming and mopping happen regularly. If most of your floor is carpet and you’re happy mopping the remaining small areas yourself, a vacuum-focused model may be a better use of the budget.

The $499.99 C28 makes the most sense when hard-floor scrubbing is a regular chore and you’d like the station to take over more of the mop cleanup.
