Running out of battery before the day is over usually leaves you with three choices: find an outlet, carry a power bank, or switch off features to stretch the remaining charge. The HONOR X9e Pro tackles that problem with a much bigger battery.

It packs an 11,000mAh battery into a phone that measures about 8.08mm thick and weighs approximately 203g. Those dimensions are what make it interesting. Instead of putting a huge battery in an especially bulky rugged phone, HONOR has built something that looks more like a conventional smartphone.
There are trade-offs. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 is a midrange processor, and the rear camera setup is fairly simple. But for someone who would rather spend less time looking for a charger than chase maximum performance, the X9e Pro is an unusual proposition.
An 11,000mAh battery is the main attraction
The battery has an 11,000mAh typical capacity and a 10,510mAh rated capacity. HONOR says its lab tests produced up to 66.8 hours of video playback, 35.6 hours of short-video playback, and 164.5 hours of music playback. Those are manufacturer figures, not independent real-world results. Actual endurance will depend on factors such as screen brightness, cellular reception, apps, gaming, and camera use.
Even without relying on those playback claims, the capacity gives the X9e Pro obvious appeal for travel, long commutes, navigation, and other times when an outlet is hard to find.
When it is time to plug in, the phone supports up to 80W wired HONOR SuperCharge with compatible HONOR equipment. It also supports up to 27W wired reverse charging, so it can supply power to a compatible device. HONOR suggests using it to charge another phone, although the output will depend on the device and charging conditions.
HONOR also claims a six-year battery-health expectancy based on laboratory simulations involving 1,000 complete charge cycles and six hours of daily screen use. That describes performance under the company’s test conditions, not a guarantee that every battery will age the same way.
Durability without the usual bulk
The battery is only part of the X9e Pro’s durability pitch. The phone has IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, while HONOR promotes 360-degree drop resistance based on controlled testing. The company also advertises water resistance at depths of up to 10 meters under specific laboratory conditions.
Those claims deserve context. HONOR says the phone is not professionally waterproof and warns that dust and water resistance can decline with normal wear. Its water- and drop-resistance claims come from controlled lab tests. The protections offer some reassurance against accidents, but they are not a reason to deliberately drop, submerge, or use the phone for diving.
Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the 6.8-inch AMOLED display. The panel has a 2788 × 1280 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. HONOR claims a peak brightness of 10,000 nits, but says that figure applies only when a corresponding video source plays full-screen; it does not describe typical screen brightness.
HONOR also lists 3840Hz PWM dimming and several eye-comfort features. The company notes that the phone is not medical equipment, so those features should not be read as medical claims.
Midrange performance and ample storage
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 is paired with 8GB of physical RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage. HONOR advertises “24GB RAM Turbo,” but that does not mean the phone has 24GB of physical RAM. The figure combines its 8GB of RAM with 16GB of storage allocated for expanded memory.
The phone runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. HONOR also advertises six years of smooth performance through its Hummingbird Architecture and software optimizations. That is a performance-longevity claim, not a promise of six years of Android upgrades. HONOR has announced a separate seven-year Android and security-update policy for certain flagship Magic-series phones in specified markets; buyers should not assume it applies to the X9e Pro without a model-specific commitment.
A simpler camera setup
The main rear camera has a 108MP, f/1.75 sensor with optical image stabilization. It is joined by a 5MP wide camera, while a front-facing camera handles selfies. HONOR also lists 4K video recording and up to 15x digital zoom.
Megapixels alone cannot tell you how good the photos will look. Optics, processing, stabilization, and lighting all matter. On paper, the stabilized main camera is useful hardware, but without independent testing, it would be premature to call this a flagship-level camera system.

The HONOR X9e Pro is available for preorder in Malaysia from September 24 through October 8, 2026. HONOR lists the 256GB model at RM1,899 and the 512GB model at RM2,399. Pricing and availability in other markets need to be confirmed separately.
Who is the HONOR X9e Pro for?
The X9e Pro makes the most sense for buyers who prioritize battery capacity and durability over flagship processing power or a more versatile camera system.
