Anker’s new collaboration with Riot Games’ VALORANT tackles that problem with gaming-themed versions of two everyday accessories. Unveiled around IFA 2026, the limited-edition collection includes the Anker x VALORANT 10-in-1 USB-C Hub and Anker x VALORANT 100W GaN Charger. The graphics add fan appeal, but the hardware underneath is designed to solve common laptop problems.
The 10-in-1 hub is the star
Modern thin laptops routinely sacrifice ports for portability. That trade-off becomes more obvious at a desk, where a gaming setup may require several peripherals, wired networking, and an external display. Instead of reconnecting individual adapters every time the laptop comes home, a hub can make that transition a one-cable routine.
Anker’s hub combines ten connections in one unit with a built-in 700mm USB-C host cable. Anker places roughly 80 percent of the connections at the rear, allowing permanently connected cables to be routed away from the player. A magnetic stand adds placement flexibility. Those aren’t flashy features, but they could make a docked laptop setup easier to live with every day.
Built for high-refresh monitors
Display support is where this hub starts to separate itself from a basic productivity accessory. Anker says a single connected display can run at up to 2K at 240Hz or 4K at 144Hz; on Windows, it lists support for dual 4K at 120Hz displays. Those specifications are considerably more relevant to gamers than simply getting a picture onto an external monitor. Those are Anker’s specifications, not performance we’ve independently verified. Actual capabilities depend on the laptop, operating system, monitor, cable, available bandwidth, and the USB-C port’s video-output capabilities. USB-C ports can look identical while supporting very different combinations of data, video, and power, so buyers should confirm their laptop’s display-output specifications before expecting the hub’s maximum advertised resolution and refresh rate.
For a competitive player with a high-refresh monitor, that compatibility check matters. There is little benefit in owning a 144Hz or 240Hz display if something between the laptop and monitor limits what it can receive. If Anker’s listed capabilities match your hardware, this hub is aimed at a more demanding setup than a basic office USB-C adapter.
The screen could be useful
Anker has also fitted a 2-inch smart display to the hub, but the screen is not there solely for decoration. The company says it can show charging power, data speed, temperature, and port status while providing basic on-device diagnostics.
That could help when a laptop setup is not behaving properly. If charging looks unusual or a connected device is not operating as expected, status information directly on the hub could help narrow down the problem before you start unplugging cables and swapping ports.
We have not independently tested those diagnostic features, so their real-world usefulness remains to be seen. Still, displaying meaningful information gives the screen a functional role rather than making it another tiny display included simply for promotional flair.
There’s a matching charger
Anker is also offering a VALORANT Edition 100W GaN Charger with a smart display and what the company describes as battery-care functionality. For a compatible USB-C laptop, a 100W charger could reduce the need to carry a larger power adapter, particularly when traveling or using the computer for lighter tasks away from the desk. Anker says the charger’s display can show live power, voltage, and temperature information.
That does not mean it will replace every gaming laptop charger. High-performance gaming notebooks can require substantially more power under heavy loads than a 100W USB-C supply can provide. Anyone hoping to leave a proprietary power brick at home should check the laptop’s USB-C charging support and power requirements rather than assuming 100W is enough.
For compatible machines, however, the smaller GaN charger could be a useful travel companion. The VALORANT styling gives fans a charger that matches the hub without making the collaboration’s appeal entirely dependent on graphics.
The branding isn’t doing all the work
Gaming collaborations can easily become familiar hardware with new artwork and a higher price, so the underlying products matter here. Anker has applied the VALORANT treatment to accessories that address recognizable gaming-laptop frustrations instead of relying entirely on Riot Games branding to make ordinary hardware interesting.
The hub handles connectivity and external-display duties while offering a cleaner way to organize a desk. The charger gives compatible laptop owners a potentially smaller power option for travel. Neither product requires VALORANT fandom to make sense.
That is a stronger foundation for a collaboration: the branding gives fans another reason to want the products rather than serving as the only reason they exist. Pricing and availability vary by region, so buyers should check their local Anker store for products, prices, and launch timing in their market.
