Garmin just made its screen-free wearable official. The company announced the CIRQA Smart Band on July 21, 2026, and it’s Garmin’s first screen-free band that tracks fitness and wellness without asking you to pay a subscription. Garmin says CIRQA is available now at a suggested $199.99, gets up to 10 days of battery on a charge, and pipes your health data straight into the Garmin Connect app. If you’ve wanted Garmin’s tracking without a watch face pulling your focus all day, this band’s aimed right at you.

No Subscription Is the Whole Pitch
The headline feature here isn’t a sensor, it’s the billing model. Garmin says CIRQA tracks its advanced fitness and wellness features with no subscription required, which stands out in what increasingly feels like a subscription-first corner of the market. If you’ve felt like recovery bands keep turning basic health data into a recurring charge, that’s the line worth reading twice, and it’s the argument Garmin’s leading with.
What CIRQA Tracks Day and Night
Worn around the clock, CIRQA covers the metrics you’d expect from Garmin’s wellness lineup and reports them back through Garmin Connect. Garmin says you can follow wrist-based heart rate, Body Battery energy monitoring, Pulse Ox, stress, and skin temperature, all without a screen on the band itself.
Sleep gets a full workup too, tracking the stages you cycle through, scoring the night, flagging whether you clocked enough hours, and logging heart rate variability, breathing rate, and naps. Women can also track menstrual cycle and pregnancy, sharpen period predictions and past ovulation estimates by logging skin temperature overnight, and sync with the FDA-cleared Natural Cycles app, though that last part needs its own Natural Cycles subscription.
Recovery Is the Quiet Focus
Beyond the raw numbers, Garmin treats CIRQA as a recovery tool as much as an activity tracker, saying that wearing it day and night builds a more complete picture of your overall health. The sleep and recovery data are meant to show how well you’ve bounced back before you push again, with Body Battery reading your energy levels so you can spot when you’re running low. Garmin does note that some readings like Pulse Ox aren’t offered in every country and that none of this is medical-grade, so the numbers are guidance rather than a diagnosis.
The Fitness Features Garmin Packed In
On the training side, CIRQA does more than count steps and calories. Garmin says you can track more than 80 activities, from running to walking to yoga, and select a favorite to start with a tap of the single side button, then lean on advanced metrics like training readiness, HRV status, VO2 max, and training status to decide whether to push hard or take it easy.
There’s also a workout benefit and recovery time readout that estimates how each session taxes your body and how long to rest before the next one. It also borrows a paired iPhone or Android phone’s GPS to map your routes when you head outside to walk, ride, or run, and it supports LiveTrack so friends and family can follow your location in real time.
It Learns Your Workouts Over Time
One trick stands out for a band with no screen: CIRQA can automatically detect and record your activities on its own. Garmin says you can review and edit those workouts later in Garmin Connect, and the more you confirm or correct them, the better the band gets at classifying what you do next time. That matters more than it sounds on a screenless band, since there’s no display to glance at, and though the side button still lets you start an activity by hand, the automatic tracking is what quietly fills the gaps when you forget.
Design, Colors, and How You Wear It
CIRQA keeps things low-key with a fabric band Garmin built to stay out of your way while it tracks. Garmin designed it to fade into the background, letting the sensors work while an inconspicuous build keeps distractions to a minimum.
You can wear it on your wrist or move it up to your arm depending on the activity or how you sleep. It comes in seven colors as well: Citron Gray, Mauve, French Gray, Dark Olive, Captain Blue, French Blue, and Black.
How CIRQA Fits Garmin’s Lineup
Garmin sees CIRQA as a companion to its watches, not a replacement. Susan Lyman, Garmin’s vice president of consumer sales and marketing, said the company “purposefully created CIRQA Smart Band for those who are passionate about staying healthy and active,” and that it “complements our lineup of popular smartwatches and wellness monitors, allowing users to transition smoothly between their Garmin devices throughout the day.” Garmin’s even floating it as a gift idea, which signals it’s reaching for casual health trackers as much as its own committed base.

Where CIRQA Lands
At $199.99 with no subscription and up to 10 days between charges, Garmin’s betting a screen-free band can win on simplicity rather than a display. If that’s the trade you’ve been waiting for, Garmin says CIRQA’s available now, and the real test is whether its automatic activity detection holds up once these land on real wrists.
