Since I am already a huge fan of Hollyland products, I am ready to test and review the new Hollyland VenusLiv Air camera.

The Hollyland VenusLiv Air features the familiar compact and boxy design. It measures approximately 137 x 101 x 97 mm and weighs about 1.5 pounds. It also features a sleek black finish and is equipped with a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor paired with a built-in 25mm equivalent focal length lens, with an aperture of F1.05. On the front of the camera is the lens, which supports hybrid autofocus and up to 4x digital zoom. On the back is the 3-inch flip touchscreen, which can rotate 180° upward or outward to the side. On the back is also a variety of ports, including HDMI 2.0, dual USB-C, 3.5mm audio, power port, and RJ45 Ethernet. The mounting options include 2 x 1/4″-20 threaded mounts for landscape and portrait forms. On top, there is a cold shoe slot along with the rubber-covered SD card slot. Heat dissipation is enhanced by advanced cooling fins built into the design.






Performance


The VenusLiv Air is a professional-grade 4K streaming camera designed for creators, live streamers, content creators, etc., who need reliability, high-quality visuals, and easy setup for video production. It provides exceptional optics and versatile and powerful streaming features.
For Imaging and Video Quality, the VenusLiv Air features a 1/1.3″ CMOS sensor delivering 4K resolution at 30fps, with a lens equivalent to 25mm focal length and f/3.6 aperture. Its low-light performance and onboard AI-powered skin smoothing fulfill the needs of a content creator like me, and the overall production is very much superior to standard webcams and consumer cameras.
In terms of Performance and Stability, the design of the VenusLiv air features great air cooling for continuous operation without risk of overheating or session dropouts. I also love that it offers hybrid autofocus (phase + contrast) and virtual green screen functions. The Plug-and-play integration with streaming and recording platforms ensures minimal setup.
Next, let us discuss connectivity and physical features. The VenusLiv Air supports HDMI 2.0, Ethernet (RJ45), USB-C 3.0 for video and audio, SD card recording, and 3.5mm audio input for external microphones. Built-in wireless features (Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi) and mobile app compatibility make remote adjustment and monitoring easy. Recording formats include 4K, 1080p (60fps), and RTMP streaming up to 4K resolution. The touch display enables direct control over focus, color, and other image properties for seamless live adjustments.
