What is it?
The LISEN MagSafe Charger Stand is a compact, lightweight stand for your phone that doubles as a charging station, but can also charge your AirPods and Apple Watch. When you’re done, it folds up and slips in your pocket with ease.
What’s included?
- LISEN Charger
- USB-C cable
- Documents
Tech specs
Output: 15W max
1.5m cable rated at 60W
A charger is not included. LISEN suggests using a charger of at least 18W that is PD-capable. The documents remind you that “this is not a power bank”; without a charger, it’s just a stand.
It’s light! I measured only 55 g and 2.0 oz.
Design and features
When I first read the description and the photos, I was excited. For some odd reason I thought the charger had some kind of green charging indicator like the photo. While that would have been cool, it would be useless if the phone is covering it up!
There’s a big sticker over the front that warns you not to charge your device from a computer’s USB port. Hopefully, you have a PD-capable charger of at least 18W. Also, your phone’s case needs to be 2.5mm thick or less. On the back side, the Apple Watch charging area (note the watch icon).
Peel off the big yellow sticker, and you see the grippy circle surrounding a tiny lightning bolt icon. That’s the side you can charge your phone or AirPods.
On the back side, the Apple Watch end flips out. I don’t have an Apple Watch, but in this position, you could charge your watch on this like a stand.
I noticed four tiny, grippy feet on the bottom side.
Flip the watch portion out all the way and now you can charge two things at once on a flat surface.
Assembly, Installation, Setup
There is a USB-C port on one side. The supplied cable (rated for 60W) is braided and feels premium. Note the tiny LED that lights up when plugged in. This LED turns off when charging my phone.
It seemed obvious to me that you could charge your phone in landscape mode.
It’s ideal for using iOS Standby Mode.
My favorite trick is using it as a regular stand. How? Use a kickstand! Since the “kickstand” doesn’t lock in one position, you can angle it to whatever works for you.
Final thoughts
The LISEN MagSafe Charger Stand looks small, but thanks to a clever design, it can do so much. This will make a great travel accessory- as long as I have my own charger (18W and up).
