REVIEW – A few years ago, I explored Lovesac furniture and fell in love with its easy assembly, removable cushion covers, and configuration options; however, the price tag was more than my budget would allow. When Bedeep offered one of their Olar sofas, I couldn’t wait to set it up in my living room!

Design and features
I was super excited when the first of four mammoth boxes arrived. Be cautious when moving them, especially if you opt for the power recliner – it weighs approximately 117 pounds.
The footprint of the boxes is half the size of my refrigerator.
Bedeep does a commendable job packing all the goodies into the cavities in each section’s base.
The cushions are vacuum-packed and spring open when the bags open. They take 72 hours to expand fully.
I was thrilled to discover that the cushion covers have zippers and are removable for cleaning. Yay!
Each piece has four feet that screw into place without the need for tools. Tire valve stem caps protect the threads of the bolt. I love it when packaging materials are reusable! Yay!
The power supply for the power recliner is a brick, but there’s ample space under the seat to hide it.
The recliner’s lift assembly is delightfully beefy with delightfully quiet operation.
The seat backs clip and lock in place with strong tabs.
For taller people, Bedeep supplies a padded headrest. The heavy wire frame clips onto the backrest and is hidden under the cushion.
Velcro secures the headrest cushion in place.
Two buttons on the side of the seat cushion operate the recliner. I like this design and found it to be easy to use and manage, while also hiding the cable nicely.
The control wire connects near the motor. I was happy to find that if the cushion is unexpectedly removed, the connector uncouples without cable damage.
To access the cable and power supply, and most importantly, keep the cat out, a fabric cover bridges the gap between the back and base, securing it with Velcro.
Armrests come in pairs.
Two heavy brackets secure the armrests to the seat pieces. Bedeep thoughtfully packs the hex wrench along with the hardware.
The brackets press onto the seat sections with a firm push.
There’s a bracket on the bottom of the armrests to lock them in place. I needed to loosen the screws a bit to gain sufficient mobility to engage the clasp with the retaining bolt. Once the hardware is tight, the pieces are very secure.
U-shaped brackets join the seat pieces together and are removable, making it effortless to reconfigure the Bedeep Olar system in multiple ways. Need two chairs instead of a sofa? Pop the brackets off and move them! Need a bed or chaise? Do you need a larger couch, sectional, or corner sofa? Get a few extra pieces, remove the brackets, and arrange them in any way you like! Amazing! I love the simplicity, versatility, and cost! Bravo, Bedeep!
It took my wife and me about an hour to construct the Bedeep Olar. We both like the feel of the fabric, the modern look, and the comfort. The cushions are pleasantly supple yet provide ample support.
The recliner is super comfy!
There’s even enough room on the leg rest for Mini to nap. We’re both happy!

Final thoughts
The Bedeep Olar modular couch system assembles quickly, is well-built, and is very comfortable. Removable cushion covers, expandable, and eminently reconfigurable, it’s ideal for your living room, den, or home theater at a price that won’t break the bank. Outstanding job, Bedeep! Thank you!
