REVIEW – A few months ago, I underwent surgery for total knee replacement of my right knee. My surgeon advised that recovery will take about 12 to 18 months, and discomfort is a part of the process. I have been continuously seeking anything that can provide some relief, and I am happy to try this Comfier Cordless Knee Massager with Heat.

Performance
Currently, I attend Physical Therapy 3 times weekly for rehabilitation of my right knee from total knee replacement. When I arrive at therapy, the first thing that is done before I start the exercises is to place the heat therapy pads on both of my knees and the vibration technology pads on my right knee. This part of the therapy works well to relax and loosen the knee. On the days that I do not have PT, I have the straps and weights at home to perform most of the exercises, but I did not have any effective substitute for the heat and vibration therapy until I got this Comfier Cordless Knee Massager with Heat. This device is lightweight, easy to use, and with its 3 temperature and vibration modes, performs the necessary therapy almost as well as the PT center. This device also has the option of infrared therapy, which I leave on as a default, but I cannot testify to its effectiveness. Nevertheless, this device is a keeper as I go through the rehab process for my right knee, and at the end of this year, it will be just as valuable when I go through the total knee replacement of my left knee. It is comfortable to wear, and the adjustable straps ensure the right pressure. I like the easy-to-read screen, the easy controls, the 10-minute auto shutoff, which is the same amount of time used at the official PT center, and the portability.

12-18 months to recover from total knee replacement? I had that done 7 years ago. It was at the start of summer break from TV series work and I was able to do PT everyday for 3 months. And then right back to work as normal.
I am guessing it may have to do with the severity and how much bone had to be removed and replaced. I have been doing PT 3 times a week and it has been 8 months. I still have a way to go to get close to normal.
Both the surgeon and Physical Therapist say that each person is different and there are many factors that determine the journey of healing.
Yes everyone heals differently. I was lucky because I was doing my PT at home, all day long with resting and iceing breaks, for 3 months.
Good luck with your recovery.
