Performance

TREBLAB U5 Headphones 11
I have previously tested and reviewed several TREBLAB audio devices, and they have never disappointed me. The TREBLAB U5 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones are no different. They are well built, feel quality, and the well-padded earcups provide great comfort. They deliver an impressive audio experience, especially considering their price. The audio is well balanced and a pleasure for daily listening, delivering properly across all frequencies and genres.

To keep the playing field level for sub $100 headphones, as I did before, I maintained the previous music selection I used to test. This selection is purely based on my taste and preferences. Once again, I listened to tracks like “All in Love is Fair,” “Distant Lover,” and “I Want You” by Michael McDonald. Next, I listened to “Europa” by Gate Barbieri, “Winelight” by Grover Washington Jr., and “Angela (theme from ‘Taxi’) by Bob James. Then, as I did before, it was on to some Gregory Isaacs, Beres Hammond, Mariah Carey, and some of the Flamenco genre with tracks like Govi’s Andalusian Nights. However, I must admit that this time around, I added Mornin’ by Al Jarreau, “The Secret Garden” by Quincy Jones, and “Summer Rain” by Carl Thomas into the mix. I think they will become a part of a new and expanded listening session when testing these headphones. Regardless, the TREBLAB U5 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones were a pleasure to use to listen to some of my favorite tunes.

The battery life is fantastic, calls are clear, especially with the built-in four-microphone array, and the Bluetooth connection is rock solid. My only complaint is the exposed-wire design. They can get caught on something or weaken over time.

Final thoughts

The TREBLAB U5 – Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones are great headphones for daily listening to just about every genre across the spectrum. The lows, mids, and highs are well balanced, and the battery life is great.

What I like about the TREBLAB U5 – Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones

  • Nice simple design
  • Lightweight and portable
  • The ANC works well
  • Great battery life

What needs to be improved?

  • This is my thing – I do not like the exposed wire design
