REVIEW – We all need a moment to relax now and then. I’m a big fan of neck and back massagers and they are quite handy after a stressful day. I would love to get one of those full body massage chairs someday because they are amazing to relax in, but the price and footprint required is daunting. The COMFIER Full Body Massage Mat came up and I had to give it a try. Read on to see how it did!
What is it?
The COMFIER Full Body Massage Mat is a large padded mat that has both a massage and heat function built in. There is also a detachable Shiatsu neck massage pillow.

Design and features
This massage mat is larger than I expected. It is covered in a plush fabric that is soft to the touch and has a decent amount of padding. The massage motors in the mat are all just vibrating motors, so you don’t get any of the kneading motion you see on a shiatsu style massager like the neck pillow has. There are 4 embedded heating pads in the mat as well and they warm up quite nicely.
The Shiatsu neck massaging pillow that attached to the top of the mat is an interesting addition. The control to the neck massaging pillow is completely separate from the control for the massage mat, which is a tad annoying. There is an embedded button in the corner of the pillow that you have to find and squeeze to turn that function on. Everything else with the massage mat is controlled by a control pad that is attached to the side.
Here’s the pillow with the plush cover down.
Here’s what it looks like underneath that cover. On the left you can see the power button for the separate neck massager and the power cord connect.
Closeup of the power button for the neck massager. I get that the power is separate so you can detach it, but it’s kind of odd when the rest of the massage mat has a nice control pad for all the other functions.
Performance
There are a number of different massage modes available on the control pad, but I honestly didn’t care for most of the different massage patterns. It didn’t seem like there was much need for the random on/off patterns, but I didn’t mind the fifth pattern as it seemed like the most consistent of the bunch. You can also turn on the different zones directly if you don’t want the separate patterns.
You can also control the intensity between Low/Med/High. Medium and High were both decent. Low was too low for my liking, but a lot of this really comes down to personal preference. There’s enough control that you can pretty much find what works for you. It’s not a deep tissue massage, but it does feel quite nice.
Final thoughts
This is a very nice massage mat. I’m actually writing this review while I’m lying down on it. I think this item has gotten more use than just about any other item I’ve reviewed so far. I’ll have to circle back in the future to give an update on how it handles the constant use. Being that it’s January, the heat function is fantastic. I definitely recommend this!
