REVIEW – Everyone in my household is very health conscious and into exercising, doing outdoor activities like bike riding, and engaging in indoor fitness at our home gym. My treadmill died a few months ago, and I have been waiting to replace it. I felt that I needed to replace it because I was about to have a total knee replacement of my right knee which would precede total knee replacement of my left knee. My right knee was replaced and I am now in the rehab process. Building my strength and getting my knees back to “as new” condition can be accomplished with this WELLFIT TM007 Foldable Auto 15 Incline Treadmill.

Design and features

The WELLFIT TM007 Foldable Auto 15 Incline Treadmill is designed as a portable device that can be folded for storage and relocation. The clear display on the panel provides workout information. There are touch buttons for control below the display. There are also built-in speakers for listening entertainment. There are also controls on each handle for speed and bed that incline up to 15 degrees. There is the usual red emergency key. The on/off button and AC power port are on the front lower side of the treadmill and there is the option to attach an included cupholder on the side.

Assembly, Installation, Setup

Assembling the WELLFIT TM007 Foldable Auto 15 Incline Treadmill is meant to be a simple process since these tools are included and assembly only requires the addition of a few parts like endcaps for the bed and some bolts. I have assembled several treadmills, even some that require more assembly, so I figured this would be a breeze. However, as I attempted to install the endcaps I noticed that the left side installed relatively easily but the right side would not line up. It took some time and trial and error before I figured out that the internal supports for the bed had shifted likely during shipping, and needed to be moved back into place. It also became evident that I would have to disassemble a part of the front of the treadmill to move things back into place. It was not a big job but it did take some time and effort. This was my only gripe. I would suggest that maybe the packaging needs to be revisited to account for the abuse by shipping carriers.

Performance

Overall, the WELLFIT TM007 Foldable Auto 15 Incline Treadmill performs well in most categories. Barring my assembly experience, it is relatively easy to assemble and start exercising. The LED display is bright and the touchpad buttons work well. Bluetooth pairing is easy. The pre-determined incline increments and the gradual increments in speed and incline work well from the hand controls and are convenient. The biggest negative that both my wife and I experienced was that the conveyor belt became slack because of all of the movement during shipping. The result is that if walking fast or running there is that tendency to slip. We are still working with it but this issue could eventually become a deal breaker and reason to replace the equipment. 

Once the treadmill is assembled, the app will be installed next. The app allows you to choose pre-recorded exercise routines and voice control commands that start/stop/etc. the treadmill, and by connecting via Bluetooth, you can also play music through the built-in speakers, albeit they are not very loud and produce very midrange audio.

Final thoughts

The WELLFIT TM007 Foldable Auto 15 Incline Treadmill is relatively lightweight for what it is. It works well as a full-functioning but space-saving treadmill. As I mentioned before, I encountered some issues with misalignment caused during shipping, I found that the conveyor belt surface needed to be adjusted and tensioned because of the careless shipping. Otherwise, this is a piece of exercise equipment that considering the ability to incline will work well for keeping fit and assisting with my rehabilitation from total knee replacement surgery.

• The parts were able to shift during shipping resulting in difficulty in assembling.
