Corner shelf assembly
Assembly is required for this shelf, but don’t worry, it’s not difficult and Tribesigns does provide the tools that you’ll need to put it together. However, I suggest that if you have a cordless screwdriver that you use that instead of the manual Phillips screwdriver included in the box. It will save you a lot of time as well as wear and tear on your wrist.
Clear step-by-step instructions are included in the box, so the whole process should only take you about 30 minutes – even less if you take my advice and use a cordless screwdriver.
The shelf’s frame comes in two sections. Each section has two parts that are held together with hinges.
The first step is to assemble the two sections of the frame with the included Allen screws. I had to do this part manually with the included Allen wrench. Hey, do they make Allen bits for cordless screwdrivers? Inquiring minds want to know.
With the frame assembled, the next step is to add the adjustable feet.
The plastic feet can be unscrewed to level the shelf.
The feet are inserted into the bottom of the frame. Pressing them in with my hands is a bit hard (at least for me).
So, another tip is to use a hammer or rubber mallet to help seat the feet. I also used a towel to protect the feet from the mallet that i used. It does not take that much effort to pound them in place.
Now we’re ready to start placing the particle board shelves, starting at the bottom with the largest shelf.
The shelves are sturdy and look like solid wood, but they are some type of particle board with a realistic covering that adds the wood grain look to them.
Each shelf uses four screws, so again, you’ll thank me if you use my tip to use a cordless screwdriver.
About 30 minutes later, I was done. I didn’t run into any issues. The assembly was super easy! Now, let’s see if it fits the corner!
The Tribesigns 5-tier corner shelf fits perfectly in the spot I had for it, and I didn’t need to adjust the feet to get it level. I think it looks pretty nice and fits in nicely with my home decor. What do you think?
Note that the 70-inch corner shelf also includes a safety strap for attaching it to a wall. I didn’t use this strap, but if you have little kids or animals that like to climb furniture, you should definitely consider using it.
