REVIEW – Long gone are the days when we have to walk around with a large enclosure to carry additional storage space with us. These days, we can buy external SSD drives that are small and compact. Many of those designs limit us to whatever size/capacity we buy since they are sealed. Imagine a well-built, small enclosure that allows you to enter a large-capacity NVME SSD of your choice and hit the road. The Minisopuru 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure is a thunderbolt SSD enclosure with a built-in Intel JHL7440 chip and adopts dual-chip master control. The Minisopuru 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure is built with aluminum and it is lightweight and compact. There is a USB-C port on one side and 4 screws at the bottom that allows you to remove the bottom plate and insert the SSD.
Setup
To prepare the Minisopuru 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure for use, I first installed the SSD that I purchased for use with the device. I started by removing the 4 screws and the bottom place of the enclosure.
The following 2 photos show the SSD that I chose to use with this enclosure.
Next, I used one of the heat shields that was supplied in the accessory kit with the enclosure, and as per the instructions, I peeled off the protector and stuck the heat shield to the top of the SSD. I then inserted it into the memory slot and used one of the provided fasteners to secure the other end.
The next step was to connect the device via the USB-C cable to my Windows OS PC and via the settings, select the drive and partition and format it for use.
Performance
The following are performance benchmark tests and results that I performed using CrystalDiskMark and ATTO Disk Benchmark.
Overall, the Minisopuru 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure is well-built, compact, and extremely portable. in addition, the maximum 8TB storage capacity makes this enclosure really versatile. Well done.

Final thoughts
The Minisopuru 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure is a compact enclosure that can accept up to a whopping 8TB of memory. It feels like I can drop it and it will not sustain any damage. File transfers are quick and it is the ideal portable EDC storage drive. I just wish that for the price, it came with a case specifically designed to carry the device and cable.
