NEWS – This isn’t just any battery-powered monitor, because it’s the 27-inch LG StandbyMe. It’s also on a stand so you can use it like a traditional TV by moving it around from room to room on its convenient 5-wheeled base. The StandbyMe features an LCD FHD 1080p 60hz touchscreen display. It has HDMI, NFC, and USB support or you can stream to it with AirPlay, etc. With a full battery charge, you have 3 hours to watch your favorite long movie or several episodes of your favorite shows without being tethered to a wall outlet. At about $1000, I do wish it were 4K and had a much longer battery life but if you’re interested, head over to Amazon where you can grab it for $996.99.

  2. Hmm, I upgraded my old UPS with a double-sized battery for $25. Now I can power my 27″ monitor for an hour and a half if the power goes out. Of course I had to use VHB to stick the battery to the side of the UPS. No one can complain about its looks because it’s under my desk.
