REVIEW – Security has always been very important to me, and ever since I purchased my home, I have been working on making sure that every side of the house including entrances has motion sensor lights. Choosing security motion sensor lights can be exhausting since there are so many on the market. So, when I get the opportunity to do an outdoor lighting review I am very happy. Let’s check out the Lepower 1600LM Motion Sensor Security Lights with Solar Panel.

What is it?

The Lepower 1600LM Motion Sensor Security Lights with Solar Panel includes a led flood light that is adapted to a professional optical filter lens and provides better illumination(soft light, anti-glare) than normal chips. It can produce up to 1600lm 5500k brightness. Features include a built-in automatic PIR sensor, adjustable triple-head LED lamps, and advanced motion sensing technology with an extended sensing range up to 72ft and detection angle to 180°.

Below the light, there is the sensor, and on the bottom of the sensor, there is a timer control and a distance selector. On the base of the light are the mode selector and the solar panel port. The mounting bracket is on the bottom.

Performance

The Lepower 1600LM Motion Sensor Security Light is easy to mount and install. I first mounted the base to the side of my house and then attached the light. After that, I mounted the solar panel.

As you can see in the photo above, I already had a solar panel from another device mounted so I had to position the panel for this light below but in a place that ensures direct sunlight. The mode switch and the solar panel port are designed to be on the lower side of the light so that they are not directly exposed to the elements.

Once I installed the light, I selected the Auto mode since that is the way I want to use the light. I also adjusted the sensor and the sensing distance.

Here is the result:

What I like

  • Build quality
  • Timer options
  • The solar panel
  • The adjustable side lights
  • The sensor that works well
  • The brightness
  • The long power cord for the solar panel allows flexibility for placement

What I’d change

  • Nothing at this time

Final thoughts

I like the Lepower 1600LM Motion Sensor Security Light because it is easy to install, provides a bright security light that I can focus on specific areas, and includes all of the necessary features including the solar panel which means I do not have to recharge it. Good device!!
