REVIEW – Have you ever tried to inflate an air mattress or pool toy by mouth? Yes, it gets exhausting. I’ve been using inflatable camping pads for a few years, which I prefer over the foam ones. However, inflating a pad after a day of hiking or at altitude isn’t very fun. GIGA Pump 2.0 to the rescue!
What is it?
The GIGA pump 2.0 is a rechargeable, handheld pump that fits in the palm of your hand with a few hidden tricks.
What’s in the box?
The sample I received did not come in any fancy outer packaging. Here it is.
- Pump
- Five nozzle adapters
- Lanyard (attached)
- USB-C charging cable
Hardware specs
- 1300 mAh lithium-ion battery (USB-C type connector) good for 10 air mattresses or 10 hours of illumination
- Water-resistant
- 180 L/min at 3.5 KPa
- LED light: 40/160/400 lumens
- 89 grams
Design and features
It’s pretty small: About 2 inches long and 1.75 inches in diameter.
A lanyard comes already attached to the air inlet side.
In the center of the frosted white end is the power button. That’s the only control.
Setup
The pump comes with an assortment of nozzles. There’s probably one for your inflatable! You’re not going to find one for a basketball or bicycle tire. I don’t think it’s designed for that.
I’m really happy the pump comes with a USB-C type connector. An LED glows red when charging, and green when done.
Performance
An LED light is something I would not expect on a pump, but it’s nice and bright (up to 400 lumens for 1 hour). To activate the LED, long-press the button. Tap the button to cycle through the three brightness settings.
The pump itself was the biggest surprise: It’s fast. I brought it along on a recent campout and inflated an air mattress that would normally take me a very long time to inflate.
In this video, it took me less than 20 seconds to go from flat to usable. I was surprised!
To activate the pump, double-click the button. Click again to turn it off.
What I like
- Lightweight
- USB-C charging port
- Fast!
What I’d change
- You have to remove the lanyard if you want to use the vacuum function. Not a big deal!
Final thoughts
I’m literally blown away. The GIGA Pump 2.0 has solved one of my camping annoyances of inflating my camping mattress- and quickly! The LED light is a bonus in case I forget my flashlight, too. For the price, it’s a must have for your camping adventures.

How long does it take to get full charged?
Any other portable pump close to these specifications, just for a comparison?
I drained the battery down and charged it back up until I got a green LED light. Took about 2, 2-1/2 hours.
