NEWS – Mission Workshop makes some of the best bags in the business, including the Rhake laptop Backpack I reviewed last year. Their messenger bags have always been excellent, but the Khyte is MW’s first foray into a mission-specific messenger bag for your laptop and tech gear. It looks to be a beauty, and just jumped to the top of my “want” list.
The Khyte brings everything you expect from a MW bag: bomb-proof construction, waterproof materials, and slick urban style. But this new design checks all my boxes for “must haves” when hauling your workday gear including a padded compartment for your laptop with separate access, a soft-lined pocket for your phone, and a key clip in addition to assorted pockets and pouches for stuffing your accessories. It’s got two strap options included in the price if you want to carry it on one shoulder like a briefcase or cross-body like a messenger. Did I mention the Fidlock buckles? I love Fidlock buckles.
The Khyte also incorporates MW’s Arkiv rail system, which provides attachment points for a variety of accessories specifically made for the system to dial in your EDC needs. Water bottles? A collection of fancy pens and notebooks? Bike tools? There’s an accessory for that.
The Mission Workshop Khyte comes in 5 different colors and is now available in presale for $335. And here’s the kicker: MW is offering some extra goodies if you jump in early. Order by 10/10 and you’ll get the Arkiv Tech Case accessory (shown in the pic above) and their Deluxe Messenger Strap. That’s $160 worth of extra goodies.
