Have you read the reviews on the instant pot on amazon? It seems that a lot of people are disappointed with the item because it stops working and the instant pot customer service is just not there. To me these review cites need to use items longer than 1 or 2 times to get a true feel for the product before they rate it highly so consumers can get a true feel for a product before spending their hard earned money on something that may only last less than a year.

Thank you Julie for your comment. I had a different brand and used for a bit over a year when it stopped working. The brand I had was also reviewed highly. I spent well over $150 on the pressure cooker and loved the convenience of it. Within 2 weeks I also posted a positive review. I was very disappointed when it stopped working and posted it on Amazon where I bought it so people could have something to think about, but wanted I another one so I decided to read reviews on any brands that caught my interest. I was interested in the Instant Pot and read way to many negative reviews which is why I started to search for review cites. I just feel that all cites, not this one in particular, forget to review the longevity of products. Maybe it’s just me, I don’t know.I have one of the first electric pressure cookers that I bought well over 15 years ago that I spent about $45 for that still works but it is small and I wanted a larger one. It was made here in the USA so maybe that speaks for our products. 🙂
