A light source seems to be an essential part of nearly everyone’s EDC, and many prepared folks tend toward the small-but-powerful variety. SureFire has a been a leader in the light source industry for many years and I recent ran across their SideKick Ultra-Compact Variable-Output LED Flashlight. It’s a small flashlight with a Li-ion battery that can be charged with a micro-USB connection. It has three modes of operation: High (300 lumens, 1.25 hour runtime), Medium (60 lumens, 4 hour runtime) and Low (5 lumens, 45 hour runtime). It also features a split ring for attachment to a keychain and a weatherproof body. It’s a bit pricey at $79.99 retail, but as an owner of a SureFire flashlight light for many years, I would expect high quality and durability for that price. Check out the SideKick at SureFire.com.
