The Caseco Core 360° is a car mount that will put your smartphone right where you need it without a lot of unsightly plastic holders, Velcro or unreliable suction cups. The mount is made of an anodized aluminum alloy and features a neodymium magnet that keeps a secure hold on your device. The mounting part attaches with a strong 3M adhesive to a spot on your car’s dash or another smooth surface and will not leave a mark or stain if you remove it. The included steel rings stick to the back of your devices. Once attached, you just touch the back of your phone to the Core 360° mount and the magnet holds it in place while allowing for a full 360° rotation for both vertical and horizontal views. The Core 360° is available in red or black and is priced at $44.99. Aren’t you supposed to keep electronic devices away from strong magnetic fields?
I’ve been using one of these for about a year. No issues with cell strength, gps, compass. As far as signal is concerned, they put the antenna at the very bottom of the phone for a couple reasons. To keep any chance of microwave RF energy away from your brain, and, since people that hold their phones to their ears (I prefer Bluetooth to keep my hand free, especially driving), the bottom part of the phone usually isn’t smashed against your face, keeping the antenna clear.

I’m not a big fan of suction cups. Has it fallen off your windshield yet?
I heard Leo Laporte on ‘The Tech Guy’ radio broadcast recently say there can be no harm done to a phone being near magnets. I use a similar device by another manufacturer and it works great and the phone is fine. I’d keep magnets away from a spinning hard drive but otherwise this mount style is A-ok.
I have been using the iOmount for over a year with no problems: http://the-gadgeteer.com/2013/09/09/iomounts-ioauto-pro-car-mount-review/
Car mounts are too dangerous. You have to look down, away from the road, giving yourself a great opportunity to crash. They are almost as bad as looking at your phone while it’s in your lap.
The Backhand Rider TM is a much safer alternative. Just my opinion and I’m jaded. 😉
Stay hands free~ michael
I have something similar…works great. The one downside with the magnet is that it messes up the wireless charging on my phone…but if you don’t care about wireless charging, this is great.
